GUEST artist Space Foundation residency
The Guest Artists Space (GAS) Foundation's initial building, in Oniru, Lagos, is a modern edifice that combines Brutalism and traditional Yoruba architectural concepts, wrapped around a central courtyard. Elsie Owusu, a Ghanaian British architect, collaborated with Nigerian architect Nihinlola Shonibare to create the facility, which includes live/work quarters and a multifunctional studio/project/gallery. It seeks to promote international cultural exchange by connecting African art markets to the global art community.
