GUEST artist Space Foundation residency
An earth-brick barn house, constructed from around 40,000 handmade laterite bricks, forms part of the residency at Ecology Green Farm, a project of the Guest Artists Space Foundation founded by British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare. Designed by the Nigerian firm MOE+ Art Architecture under the leadership of Papa Omotayo, the building draws from modern British barn houses while remaining rooted in Yoruba architectural sensibilities. The space brings together a studio, living quarters, and shared facilities, all developed with ecological sensitivity, allowing artistic practice to unfold in close relationship with the surrounding landscape. These works were produced on commission for the Yinka Shonibare Foundation.
